PlayStation Fancast 011: We're back!

Just as the summer game drought ends, so too does the PS Fancast drought. It's been a full month without a podcast and, yes, we know you're upset about it. We are too. But fear not, because we're starting to get back into our regular schedule starting next week, with another one to come this week. Hopefully.

Episode 11 features Jem Alexander, Nick Doerr and Andrew Yoon. We discuss the 40GB PS3, Star Wars Battlefront: Renegade Squadron and we also answer a few user submitted questions. If you want us to answer your question on future shows then send them to us at Jem[at]www.PS3Fanboy.com. Check below for the complete program.

PlayStation Fancast 010: Insomniac Edition

We're sorry you've had to wait so long for this, our latest episode of the podcast. We hope it will be worth it. The title is a bit of a double entendre, as this week we have two special guests from Insomniac joining us on the show. The other meaning? Well, due to scheduling difficulties we didn't start recording until midnight and Jem was due to fly to Leipzig early the next morning, so he might sound a bit tired.

We promised we'd keep up with the regular weekly schedule and, as a result of failing this week, we're hoping to bring you another episode before the weekend. Full of Leipzig and PAX anecdotes. Hopefully.

Episode 10 features Jem Alexander, Nick Doerr, Andrew Yoon with special guests James Stevenson and Ryan Schneider from Insomniac Games. We discuss Jem's trip to Sony's 3Rooms in London and get in-depth with Insomniac about all things Ratchet and Clank. Among a couple of other things. Check below for the complete program.

PlayStation Fancast 009: Final Fantasy love/hate fest

Another episode! Seven full days after the last one, even. We're improving our delays policy from "sometimes" to "almost never." Due to the lack of real news recently, this episode is much shorter than our previous two. Still worth a punt though, innit?

Episode 9 features Jem Alexander, Nick Doerr and Andrew Yoon. We discuss the "Sony buying Rockstar" debacle and PSP Slim pre-orders. Among a couple of other things. Check below for the complete program.

PlayStation Fancast 008: Really late edition

Whoops. We goofed. Two full weeks without a podcast. We're back now, however, and we're not going anywhere. We've got some interesting stuff lined up for the future. This episode we chat about the biggest news to come out of the last two weeks.

Episode 8 features Jem Alexander, Nick Doerr and Andrew Yoon. We discuss the Develop Conference, mouse and keyboard support in Unreal Tournament 3 and several PSP games. Among other things. Check below for the complete program.

Also, Andrew's audio isn't perfect. We didn't notice this until after the recording. We hope you can put up with it this week. We'll get it fixed before next week. Promise.

PlayStation Fancast 007: Post-E3 edition

Phew. This is a long one. Clocking in at just under two and a half hours, this podcast features our comprehensive discussions of all things Sony at E3. We go through the press conference point-by-point, get angry at Sony's weird pricing behaviour and talk about the games that Andrew got some hands on time with at the show itself.

Episode 7 features Jem Alexander, Andrew Yoon, Nick Doerr, Steve Bailey and Colin Torretta. We discuss the PSP redesign, Sony's press conference announcements, pricing structures and upcoming games. Check after the cut for the complete program.

PlayStation Fancast 006: Pre-E3 edition

Just in time for E3, our sixth episode of the award winning (disclaimer: awards may be imaginary) podcast is out to shock, scare and maim you. Sorry, we mean entertain you. We've not split this episode up because we found ourselves discussing both the PS3 and PSP in the same breath, in some instances. If this proves to be a big hit, we might keep this format.

Episode 6 features Jem Alexander, Nick Doerr and Steve Bailey. We discuss the PS3's newest releases, our E3 thoughts and expectations and Japanese hardware sales. Among other things. Check below for the complete program.

PlayStation Fancast 005: We don't hate the PSP!

A little later than normal, but here it is. Episode 5 of the PlayStation Fancast. This week we are focusing on the PSP after the lackluster amount of talk time it got last week. To drive home the point even further, we've started with the PSP section instead of the PS3 section. We love the PSP. And the PS3. Equally. Sometimes.

Episode 5 features Andrew Yoon, Jem Alexander and special guest from Joystiq, Ludwig Kietzmann. We discuss the newly discovered Lumines hack, the Manhunt 2 ban and our E3 predictions, among other things. Check below for the complete program.

PlayStation Fancast 004: Creepy edition

Fancast episode 4 is now working its way straight down the internet tubes to your ears. This week we talk about so much stuff, it hurts. From the PlayStation.Blog to the rumbling SIXAXIS to the Korean PS3 launch and even some PSP stuff. A bit.

Episode 4 features Andrew Yoon, Jem Alexander, Steven Bailey and Colin Torretta from the PS Fanboys. We get a new competitor in the form of PlayStation.Blog. What do we think? Also, find out more about the rumbling SIXAXIS controller, the European PS Store, and the Korean PS3 launch. We also talk Ninja Gaiden Sigma, Grand Theft Auto IV, LA Noire, and (according to Andrew) the future best game ever: Time Crisis 4.

PlayStation Fancast 003: The Agency edition

Another Monday, another Fancast. We're bringing you this episode seven hours than usual in order to give you information on the newly announced shooter, The Agency. We were thrilled when we saw it last month, and now the embargo is up -- and we're allowed to talk about the game extensively.

Episode 3 features Andrew Yoon, Jem Alexander, and Nick Doerr from the PS Fanboys. Our special guest for this week's episode is Joystiq's Kevin Kelly. Find out about why The Agency might be the online shooter that PS3 fans have been waiting for. Then, is Final Fantasy really that important to the PS3? Listen to our debate. Finally, is the redesigned PSP Slim a reality? We discuss the possibilities.

Note: Due to recording complications, Jem's audio is a second or so early during the first half an hour of this episode. This issue has already been addressed, and will be fixed in next week's fancast.

We heard your feedback, and we've bumped up the audio quality quite significantly for this episode of our pod fancast.

Episode 2 features Andrew Yoon, Jem Alexander, Peter Vrabel, Nick Doerr, and Steven Bailey from the PS Fanboys. Is Bioshock heading to PS3? Is Metal Gear Solid 4 heading to Xbox 360? Also, hear more about why we're playing FolksSoul (PS3) and Crush (PSP).

We hope that you enjoy our new PlayStation Fancast. We think it's a marked improvement from our zeroth episode, but we're going to keep on making the podcast even better. Feel free to give us your comments, and we'll keep them in mind for next week's episode.

PlayStation Fancast 000: We're so beta

You asked for it, and we're delivering. Here's the zeroth episode of the PlayStation Fancast. Why is it Episode 0? Well, we're still learning how to produce a podcast effectively. We plan on having a full-blown "professional-sounding" podcast with intro music, stronger audio quality, and flaming monkeys in the future. However, with so much to talk about from Gamers Day, we had to share something with you right now.

Episode 0 features PS Fanboy's Andrew Yoon and Joystiq's Kevin Kelly talking about highlights from SGD. Listen to how Sony's upcoming lineup of heavy-hitters has convinced Kevin to purchase both a PS3 and PSP.

We'd really appreciate your comments, so tell us how we did. Yeah, the audio was a little messed up, and the encoding is a little wonky -- but we want to get better for you! Stay tuned for more details on the official launch of the PlayStation Fancast, and thanks for reading/listening.
